Well, it’s Thanksgiving and all the Christmas decorations are up in my neck of the woods.
Some of the neighbors already have Santa on the roof with his reindeer. Not a bit of fog in sight, but Rudolph’s nose is glowing bright.
Everyone hasn’t forgotten though, thanks Erica!!
Wow! That makes my day and makes me more thankful as well!
And I am super thankful for the new friends and clients created along the way. So many hard workers and action takers!
Even though Thanksgiving is primarily a U.S.A. and Canadian holiday; we should all be thankful, right?
Make your list today of what what you are thankful for. Be specific. List names. Remember events. Look around and make a list of your “stuff” and give thanks.
Heck, right now you’re on a computer or phone or Ipad or some gizmo reading words and seeing pictures sent through the air! Just a few years ago you would have been put in an asylum for even suggesting such things.
Holt smokes we have got it made. We are blessed.
What’s that? You don’t have everything you WANT? Well, that’s one of the reasons your growing your business right?
One of the funniest “complaints” I ever got was from a lady who was irate that I was charging people money to help them start or grow a business. She said if I really wanted to help people I would do it for free and that she was just trying to feed her kids. The last tag of the message read… and I am not making this up… “Sent From My Ipad.”
What?!! Yep, sometimes we have it made and we just don’t know it.
You see there are primarily two types of people…
1. Victims who want to be enabled and want to believe that things happen TO them.
These folks whine and moan about how the entire world is set against them. How they can’t get ahead. They cry about traffic from their CAR. They weep about the economy as they cut their STEAK. They call their friends and gossip about a teacher while sipping their $4 CUP OF COFFEE.
Then there are the…
2. Visionaries who want to call their own shots and who believe things happen THROUGH them (not to them).
These folks are thankful. They look for and expect the best. Sure, bad things happen to this group as well, but they do not externalize. They do not believe it’s a conspiracy. And somehow they find an opportunity in the middle of the chaos.
Here’s the awesomeness… since you’ve been brave enough to become a subscriber and put up with my southern rantings
there’s no doubt your in the second group.
And if you want to separate yourself from group one to an even greater extent, make your thanksgiving list. Physically write down the little to the large things in your life to be thankful for. You’ll be amazed at how it changes the entire mood of the day and maybe even the year!
Success is NOT an Accident!
Paul
P.S. If any marketers send you a bunch of “deals” today because of Thanksgiving tell them you’ll have to buy another day because you’re too busy giving thanks for what you already have!
P.P.S. If you have a few minutes today and want to rewatch The Crusade Against the Epidemic or listen to I2, then go here…
