Purpose doesn’t have to be complicated.
It doesn’t even have to be anything substantial.
My purpose is to…
Make a positive contribution to the world each day.
There’s no pressure.
It’s easy to attain.
There’s no mystery.
No esoterical search.
There’s a lot of noise around purpose, such as:
“Once you find your purpose, you’ll never lose your way again.”
“Discovering your purpose is like finding a lost friend you knew was always there.”
“If you have a strong purpose in life, you don’t have to be pushed. Your passion will drive you there.”
Some people are called to a very specific purpose that they have known all their lives.
Others, like me, choose a very simple purpose.
Yours may require a retreat.
A year-long study.
A course.
Nail it down on your own terms in your own voice.
If nothing comes to mind, borrow mine for a while.
