Yesterday, I was working with a friend on perfectionism.
He asked, “I’ve always had a problem with perfectionism. What would you tell the younger me who refused to ship his content and ideas for thinking that they were not perfect?”
I responded, “You have two minutes to go around you house and return with everything that is perfect. Put everything in your house that could be improved in any possible way on your coffee table.”
He sat thinking without moving. “We’ll there’s nothing here that couldn’t be better in some way. Even my internet can’t stay connected 100% at ideal speeds.”
Then I asked…

Those are good questions for all of us when perfectionism paralyzes.
