It’s 10:10 on 10/10.
I’ve loved that number since a friend of mine, JB, mentioned it years ago.
Out of the blue, he would say, “1010.”
When I asked what he meant, JB replied, “John 10:10. Jesus said he came to bring life in abundance. So When I see 1010, I say it out loud as a reminder.”
Here are a few more versions…
I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
I have come so that they may have life, life in its fullest measure.
I came so everyone would have life, and have it fully.
My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.
My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
Those statements by Jesus feel good to receive, right?
We love receiving 1010.
We want a full and satisfying life.
But what if…
What if WE lived 1010 for others?
What if we focus on giving a full and satisfying life to others?
How would the lives around us change?
How would our lives change?
What if the true way to receive 1010 is to give 1010?
Let’s not just claim 1010 when we see it; let’s also remind ourselves…
